In Makkah and Madinah, how far your hotel is from the Haram shapes your whole trip — especially for elderly travellers, families with children, or anyone who wants to pray every salah in the Haram. A well-located 3-star hotel can be a better choice than a 5-star hotel a long walk or shuttle ride away. Use the distance filter and check the hotel names in each package.

Packages list how many nights you spend in each city and whether the trip starts in Makkah or Madinah. Make sure the split matches what you want — some pilgrims prefer more time in Makkah for extra Umrahs and tawaf, others want longer in Madinah.

Prices are per person and depend on how many people share a room — quad (4), triple (3) or double (2). Quad is usually the most affordable; double gives the most space. When comparing packages, compare the same room type.

Look for each of these in the package's inclusions before you compare prices:

• Return air ticket (and your departure city)
• Umrah visa
• Travel insurance
• Airport transfers and transport between Makkah and Madinah
• Ziyarat (visits to historical sites) in Makkah and Madinah
• Breakfast at the hotels

A cheaper package that leaves out flights or the visa may cost more once you add them yourself.

• Your passport should be valid for at least 8 months after your travel date.
• You will need a recent passport-size photo (JPG or PNG) and a clear copy of the passport bio page (JPG, PNG or PDF).
• Pakistani nationals need their CNIC number for the application.
• Enter names exactly as they appear on the passport — mismatches are a common cause of visa delays.
